Guatemala: October ’07

25 Oct

The only task this morning was getting the shelves delivered and set up in the baby dorm. Several of the boys on our side of the compound wanted a list of our names, and a lot of the boys asked to have their pictures made. After packing and a final cleaning of our living quarters, the boys helped load our suitcases into the van. Then it was time for lots of hugs and “adios” before we climbed into a van to leave a place we will never forget, returning to our privileged and routine world.

We are taking with us many memories of precious children, and hope that what we left behind touched their hearts and made their world a little better. We hope we were a blessing to them-we KNOW they were a blessing to us. Thank you Lord for this opportunity!
