Kenya: January ’08

03 Jan

So we made it to Migori late last night.  Whitney made it to Nairobi in the morning – Praise the Lord!  We didn’t leave Nairobi until after 1:00 p.m.  The ride to Migori was crazy, with huge potholes and crazy driving.  We got to see elephants, giraffes, zebras, hyenas, and gazelles.  Thank you, Lord, for providing safe travels and getting our luggage here today.  We opened the clinic today.  They saw 357 people today.  It was so fun to just see the smiles on those kids’ faces.  There were a few that I couldn’t get off me and I loved it!  Some of them are wearing nice clothes that are all torn up now.  It makes me thankful for the clothes that are so readily available to me.  We are so spoiled as Americans.  They live in the tiniest little huts/shacks.  We are so blessed in America!  Those kids today just wanted some attention and to be able to be kids instead of always taking care of their younger siblings.
