I’ve enjoyed worshiping with the haitians at the evening worship services.
Their music is lively and they sing “I Surrender All” in an up tempo fashion that I’d like to see our churches adopt. Their praise songs last ten or more minutes with great words like “my God is a great God, there was a hole and he fell in it…he fell in it….he fell in it” (The “bridge” song as I call it). One the songs they like the best is a melody to Psalm 136 which they sing straight from the bible. The congregation is engaged throughout the one to two hours of singing with clapping and joyous response.
