Deserts of Africa – June 2012

20 Jun

Final Reflections …

I have to say that as many delays as we had getting to the Deserts of Africa it was well worth it! This was my first experience doing an overseas dental mission trip. Even though we didn’t see as many people as I thought we would, it was still a great service to the B-people.

The moments that I will carry with me are the times we spent with the women and children of the villages. We would paint their nails, play games with the kids, and share our testimonies. Even though we live thousands of miles away, women of different cultures have the same hurts and struggles of the heart  as women in America do. It gives me a personal way to continue to pray for these women and their families. Thank you church family for your support and prayers during this trip!
