Monday morning we prayer walked along Pearl Street which is a combination of Dickson Street (restaurants, coffee shops, and bars) and the Promenade (upscale shops) but with much spiritual diversity. This included Buddhist and Hindu shops where Jesus was another figure on the shelf, a Christian science reading room, and book stores with Christian sections that included books that are not Christian. As we walked and prayed, we engaged in Gospel conversations where God led. These conversations revealed beliefs of one person that believed in “everything yet nothing” to the Christian science person who holds to the “teachings of Jesus” but not to the saving power of Jesus himself as savior. We had been told of the different religions and spirituality here, but our experience really opened our eyes to the spiritual need for Jesus in Boulder.
