Colombia, Days 3 & 4 – September 2014

04 Sep

Here are some more pictures from the last few days of our team serving in Colombia.  This first picture is of Robby, ‘T’ and ‘B’ talking to a Colombian man sitting down.  They happened upon this man as the team was walking through the indigenous village to begin our jungle hike (UNREAL!) and this man was sitting in the doorway mending a fishing net.  Robby made the offhanded comment that it was exactly like the story of Jesus calling John and Peter to leave their nets and follow him that Robby had just told at the orphanage.  Travis said he wanted Robby to tell the story to the man and the man was interested in listening.  Robby told the story, Beth translated to Spanish, and the other Colombian woman translated into Vicuna, his native tribal dialect.  It was a great moment!  It’s amazing to see how God prepares the exact word at the exact time to the exact people He wants to hear it.

Will you pray for this man that his heart might be captured by Christ and that the team would continue being fishers of men, as they finish their week of ministry. Pray for ‘T & B’ and the G Family, as they continue to follow-up with those who have heard the Gospel message this week.  May Jesus draw the net in on many, because of the faithful obedience of those who’ve proclaimed the good news.
