Here are the highlights from our Love the City: Serve Local Work Day, on May 2nd, as we served our Direct Support Ministries – Loving Choices (Crisis Pregnancy Center) & Compassion House (Transition Home for new moms and young girls in foster care). Our members served them by doing yard work, cleaning and organizational projects.

Here are some photos from our fourth annual Reach Work Day. We partner alongside a handful of our local ministries, serving in hands-on work projects. The ministries we worked with this year include: BCM of the University of Arkansas, ISCA (International Student Christian Association) – UofA, Loving Choices (Crisis Pregnancy Center) & Compassion House (ministry to new moms who are in need of care). For more information about the ministries and missionaries that UBC helps to directly support, follow this link.

Fifty-five volunteers from UBC partnered with five of our local Direct Support Ministries (Loving Choices, Compassion House, Lightbearers, BCM & Second Mile) for our annual Reach Work Day. Check out our website for a more detailed description of these ministries, along with other ministries and missionaries we support – http://www.ubcfayetteville.org/our-direct-support-missionaries-and-ministries/

These are some of the highlights from our Reach Ministry – Jerusalem Work Day on May 2nd. We partnered with Lightbearers Ministires, one of our direct support ministries at UBC. Lightbearers buys rental property to house UofA students. These students are then taken through a discipleship program for one year, led by Lightbearers staff. All the rent money collected from these properties is then given to support Lightbearers projects in the 10/40 window. UBC members helped in the rennovating stages of one of the rental properties that Lightbearers oversees. Check out Lightbearers Ministries at : www.lightbearersconnects.com .

Here are some pictures from our Jerusalem Work Day on February 7, 2009. UBC members helped clean up yards around the neighborhood that were affected by the ice storm that hit in January. We not only wanted to share the love of Christ in a practical way, but to also have the opportunity to share the Gospel with them.
